Mountains of Gran Canaria (private)
Everyone who visited the peaks of the mountains of Gran Canaria was fascinated by the wonderful views and the diversity of the island's nature. During this trip you will enjoy the beauty of the mountains all day. We will start the journey by driving through the valleys of Fataga and Tirajana if your tour star on the south. From north we go by Caldera de los Marteles to Pico de Las Nieves.
Our first stop will be in the small mountain village of Ayacata. Next, we will move to the mountain town of Tejeda, which is among the 10 most beautiful towns in the Spain. While walking through the city, we will definitely not miss a visit to an exceptional pastry shop with almond cakes. We will continue to the highest village on the island, which is located at an altitude of almost 1300 m.a.s.l. We will see how people still live in cave houses today, you can walk to the statue of Jesus Christ, which towers over the city, similar to the one in Rio, Brazil. Alternatively, it is possible to taste local specialties in one of the restaurants.
Our journey will continue around the crater of Pinos de Gáldar with a view to the northwest of the island and through fields of volcanic ash. We will stop at Cruz de Tejeda with a view of the Tejeda caldera. Next, we will visit the highest mountain of the island, from where we will start to return to the south of the island below Roque Nublo. On the way, we will still have a stop at the second largest dam on the island of Presa de las Niñas or Presa de Majada Alta. The crown is located at an altitude of 860 m.a.s.l. at the "confluence" of the Barranco de Pilancones and Barranco de Ñameritas gorges. Finally, we will enjoy the views of the Mogan gorge and not the Mulato dam.
Note: Actually GC-605 road is closed. Up to opening the return is by alternative roads. Mogan gorge, Las Niñas dam and Mulato dam is not included.

When your are is the Las Palmas area, Pico de las Nieves is the first stop.

Recomendations

- Departure from the hotel is recomended at 09:30.

- The recommended minimum age for children is 10 years.
- Tour organized just for your group. On the car will be only you and your family or friends.
- In the winter time do not forget to bring a sweatshirt, windbreaker and a raincoat or umbrella with you on tour. Even if you don’t need them, the car will take you.
- Don’t forget sunscreens, sunglasses.
- If you have difficulty driving around valleys and mountains, we recommend using an anti-nausea tablet before driving.
- Be sure to pick up your ID.
- The route of tour can be operatively changed in case of bad weather.
- Meals during trips are not provided. We make coffee break or lunch break according to your request.
- Of course, we cannot guarantee mountain views, everything depends on the current weather.
