Blue Marlin Ibiza Sky Lounge

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Blue Marlin Ibiza restaurant is part of the lounge on the roof terrace of the Faro Hotel, a Lopesan Collection Hotel *****. It takes up the entire roof of the hotel and is divided into three parts. Beach club with two pools and sunbeds, sushi lounge and restaurant. We focused on the restaurant in the evening hours. We tried several dishes from the menu. Free-range chicken breast in champagne and tandoori sauce, tempura tiger prawns with chilli sauce and red curry mayonnaise, creamy parmesan croquettes with dry-aged beef rump carpaccio and pickled mustard, roasted aubergines with fresh tzatziki herbs, almonds and pomegranate, beef tartare with quail egg, seasonal fresh truffle and anchovy emulsion, salmon-avocado maki rolls, rice noodles and vegetables wok Pad Thai style with tofu, peanut and tamarind. From desserts, we tried Valrhona chocolate cake, lemon pie, mandarin cheesecake and Banofe Canario banana dessert. All the dishes tasted excellent. Also, the service could not be faulted. Imaginative dining and an atmosphere with subdued lighting complemented the great atmosphere. Be sure to choose one of the tables in the side part of the restaurant when choosing a table. From these tables there is a beautiful view of Meloneras and Maspalomas at night. Dimmed lighting has one disadvantage. There are several smaller steps and platforms in the space, which you may not notice at first glance. Be careful when booking. If you reserve a table for 5 to 9 people, you must enter a payment card and at the same time agree that if you cancel the reservation less than 48 hours or if you do not arrive, the restaurant has the right to charge you 15 euros for each person. The price level corresponds to the location of the restaurant and the brand. Rather, it belongs to the more expensive restaurants. The restaurant was almost empty during our visit. However, we can probably attribute that to the off-season and the Wednesday night visit. However, we certainly did not register any serious shortcomings. And anyway, the view, whether during the day or at night, is definitely worth it.
